Established in 2005, Big Task Weekend (BTW) is an impactful, by invitation only, event that brings together a diverse group of visionary leaders from top organizations to facilitate partnerships to solve the world's biggest challenges. The foundational belief is that, by working together, leaders at premier organizations can profoundly impact society more efficiently than they could ever accomplish alone.

Big Task Weekend breeds ACTION by teaching leaders a proven collaborative action leadership system that we call the "New We." The shared core values are a foundation of intimacy and generosity which builds the trust necessary for high degrees of candor and peer to peer accountability required for accelerated results.

Since inception, BTW has brought together chief executives, chief marketing officers, academic leaders, politicians, and NGO Leaders with the purpose of creating partnerships, joint initiatives, and developing new channels of opportunity to make a positive impact on our society.

BTW has incubated many successful initiatives – for example:

  • Launching of a national diabetes awareness program led by Shaping America's Health, Kraft, and Abbott Labs
  • The nation's leading quick-service restaurant and a top agriculture company teaming up to develop soy milkshakes as healthier alternatives in Kid's Meals improving the health of our children and customer satisfaction levels
  • One of the largest grocery store chains and a leading healthcare organization publishing nutritional information in produce departments helping customers develop healthier eating habits
  • Creating of strategic corporate alliance including Dream Dinners and Martha Stewart Living, and HealthNet and BeYou.tv
  • Co-branding relationships such as Safeway and Dr. Dean Ornish and the national "Ingredients For Life" campaign

Big Task Weekend will take place September 30th to October 2nd at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California.
